Why Not to fly Qatar Airways?

http://www.asifism.com/products-services-reviews/why-not-to-fly-qatar-airways/

Well, if I was to be concise as I usually am in matters of business, I’d say because they suck.  Bad service, zero customer service and  terrible customer support make for a recipe for an airline that will crash: Qatar Airways, the worlds only fake star airline.

Well, it is typical of the Arab world, isn’t it.  Tie that in with the low life typical customer service staff in London, and you have the ideal combination that hell will possibly comprise of: Arab business mentality coupled with British competence; God help us.  That’s right, I’m racist.  Get over it.

So, what is wrong with Qatar Airways?  Let’s start here:

  • Qatar airways will charge you upto GBP 800 extra for wanting to stay over in Doha, Qatar if that’s where the aeroplane stops.  That’s right.  These low life single digit IQ camel riding airline running Islam insulting scumbags will charge you extra money to increase the tourism to Doha, which apparently the Royal family there is trying excessively hard to promote.  well, there you go.  Qatar Airways, a fine example of communication engineering between owner and management; a prime example of efficient business management by Arabs.
  • Qatar Airways staff in London / Manchester is, well, like almost any other similar business, fucking stupid.  I talked to some probably stupid frustrated woman  who, when asked why the fuck she was being such a dumb bitch had absolutely no answer.  Well how could she; she couldn’t give me her name when I asked her for it. Dumb bitch.
  • Qatar Airways staff lies.  Flat out.  Another classic example of Arab owned business with British style customer service.  These booboo monkeys will only give you an 0870 number to call for bookings and reservations, and they will deliberately make you hold.  I think it is because these low life camel riding sand sluts of customer service or bookings and reservation agents get commission by the minute.  Both the dumb fuck dude and the stupid bitch woman had the audacity to tell me that I was mistaken if I thought that there is no 02 or 01 for Qatar fucking dumpways in the UK.  Well, there are about 7 such numbers.  And for those of you who want them, here they are:
    London:  020 73992566 / 67 / 68 / 69 / 70 / 72 / 77,  Manchester: 0161 8385399
  • Lastly, these Islamic insulting fundamentalist promoting dishonest infidels have robbed me of 400 sterling.  What can I say?

I hope Qatar Airways crashes as a business, and I honestly pray that their scumbag employees, well, there is a reason why they will stay in the job of answering a phone all their lives, eh?

Now, I feel better.  If you don’t like this post, well, tough fucking shit; and if you’re from Qatar Airways, well, even more tough.

I want to add that no disrespect is meant to any Arabs here. I do have great respect for many Arabs in general, but I stand by my comments about the Qatar Airways, the way it is run and their entire attitude in general. I would rather pay an extra £100 and fly emirates rather than go with Qatar Air. Maybe it’s just my luck, but the comments here make it clear that others have had similar experiences. After all, my comments about business culture in the Arab world were based on experiences in Dubai. Being in Britain doesn’t help either. Now, if you’re from Oman or Kuwait, I will have good things to say, because there’s a world of difference even between Arab countries and the people that come from there.

Our nightmare with Qatar airways

http://www.globalairlinereview.com/airlines/view/198/Qatar-Airways

Depart from: Bangkok, Thailand   To: Athens, Greeced - On date: 27/Dec/2009 - Flight Type: Economy

On Dec. 22 6:30am we checked in on flight 613 in Bangkok scheduled to fly out 8:15. The plane was basically empty. We departed from the gate, got on the runway only to hear the captain say we were returning because of engine problems. After a 3 hour wait they said the flight was being cancelled and we would return to the gate. In the terminal the attendants just kept insisting that the airline would address all our needs including connecting flights and travel. By 2pm they finally got us to a hotel and we got a meal after a 6 hour wait (this would end up being our only meal in 12 hours). We sat a the hotel till 17:30 when they called us up and said we would return to the airport, where they would check us on the next Qatar flight at 8:30 pm. When we asked about what to do about our train tickets from Athens to Bulgaria which we would now miss, they said "all will be taken care of in Doha" We arrive in Doha before midnight and now start dealing with managers who could care less about our problems. They insisted that their only obligations were to get us to Athens and we should be happy that they just get us there safe, no matter how late we arrive. We spoke to 3 managers. They all insisted there was nothing they could do but we could present our case in Athens to the Qatar staff. (They said they would send a report to them, but the staff in Athens said they never received anything. Somebody was lying...) The following morning at 7:30 we depart for Athens and arrive in Greece now 20 hours late. On arrival we find we have no baggage. How much worse can it get? When we explained our story to the Qatar staff, there they listened with empathy (for the first time). They tried to phone the train station about our train tickets but couldn't reach them so they encouraged us to go ourselves and try to get on the train, insisting that our tickets could still be valid. When we arrived at the station, surprise, surprise, there was a big sign saying due to the Christmas holidays all trains are sold out. As a matter of fact we couldn't reserve a seat until Dec. 29. Now we were stranded in Athens. That evening we managed to book a flight to Sofia for Christmas morning. The next day (24th) we returned to the airport to see if our bags had arrived, which they did, but one of them had holes in it from the trip. The Qatar staff said that this was normal and there is nothing they could do. Now we had lost our patience with this airline. We finally arrived home 3 days late, lost our train tickets, had to buy another flight out of Athens and had a damaged bag. All this and the answers they kept giving us was, "Sorry, we wish we could help you but we can't!" We have now sent a complaint to the airline (no reply yet), and also to several papers hoping that we can get some kind of justice.

Weight or not - Qatar Airways are useless

Depart from: CPT   To: Doha - On date: 24/Aug/2009 - Flight Type: Economy

In Riyadh when I bought the tickets we were allowed 30 KG's each (agreed - this is Riyadh Airport Qatar staff - very friendly) but on the return journey, my wife has just been forced to remove 6kg's of childrens clothing. They said in CPT: if the childrens frequent flyer numbers were linked to my wifes card, they would have been allowed 10kg's each!!!! - Now why the friggen ell, could they not have told me that when I queired that 3 times in Saudi. And for anyone stopping over in Doha, they will make you wait in a que for ages for a hotel voucher. - my wife was 6 months pregnant, and they would not bump me to the front of the que.... so my wife sat and waited for 1 hour..... I will at some point also post the pictures of the disgustingly dirty hotel room in Doha, they put us in .... Watch this space.. Irfaan

Never Again!

Depart from: Karachi   To: London Heathrow - On date: 01/Jun/2009 - Flight Type: Economy

Cabin Appearance: Clean Presentable Service at departure airport: Regular with no glitches, infact extremely co-operative check-in staff who helped me get good seats and confirm my child's meal! Plus the staff at LHR also gave passengers with kids priority so we could get on board conveniently! Seats: What you would expect in all economy classes so no different from any other, in fact maybe a bit worse. Meals: Although they provided a menu card and asked to choose options beforehand, the trolley was already out of all chicken choices halfway down and the beef option as many fellow passengers complained was undercooked. Kid's meal was satisfactory with a healthy burger and some fries and one candy bar! In flight entertainment: The options for kids were very few with only 7-8 options to choose from and each option lasting only 30 minutes! No educational channels or trips to the cockpit for the many children on vacation in-flight. In-flight Duty Free terribly expensive. The AVOD malfunctioned on a few seats while on the way back and hence had an extremely boring and hard to get through experience! Cabin staff: Efficient and helpful on the way to LHR but the way back was pretty unsatisfactory and harrowing as no activity packs for kids were available, same choice of programs on the AVOD and so had to actually rummage through the hand luggage to find my little one stuff to do!! Arrival services: Transfers of Qatar Airways are usually through Doha and the ground staff guide you but with no courtesy that a child is along. The wait at the Doha Airport was for 6 hours, minimum available and the dinner provided was as if in a school cafeteria with one apple, one slice of bread, one piece of chicken!! Summary: An option I was keen on in the beginning but that completely changed on the way back with inefficient preparations of cabin crew whether it was with meals or for children on board and the totally exhausting wait at Doha the most unexciting and disorganized airport in the world!!

Qatar Air Sucks

Depart from: Doha   To: Male, Maldivies - On date: 29/Mar/2009 - Flight Type: Economy

I myself had a terrible experience on several occasions with them. Do yourself a favor and stay away or you will possibly regret flying them. They will overcharge you for luggage in access of 20 kilos and it will cost you on a long flight more then the ticket itself. The staff cant speak English, is rude, the Doha airport is a nightmare. Its not at all equipped to handle the volume of people and the queue was almost one hour for us as we landed in Doha together with many other flights as most were in transit to other destinations and they made us go through security again, which is fine, but only 2 lines open for one thousand people trying to make connecting flight. Babies very crying and passengers were screaming to be let through security as everyone was about to miss their flights. It was a stampede like atmosphere at the Doha airport. I talked to several policeman and security people and they said its like that at all times. I missed my flight and they made me pay extra to board the next flight. By the time I paid at the ticket sales office with 50 minutes to go before departure, they would not allow me to check in on to the next flight saying all check ins are closed 1 hour prior to departure and that is a firm policy of their. I with my 4 small kids and my upset wife and elderly father wasted 5 1/2 hours at the Doha airport. And by the way, if you book on Qatar air and get an electronic ticket, you better show up with your credit card number used to purchase the tickets or they wont be able to give you a boarding pass even if you have a record locator and a copy of your itinerary and talking to the supervisor wont help either as its a computer controlled system. Since I cancelled my credit card due to fraud alert, I did not have the old account number with, they would not allow me to check in and turned us away again stating that I needed o get a letter from my credit card company confirming that I am the account holder. They then proceed to pull our luggage of the check in belt, returned our passports and saying they cant help us and I had another flight to catch to Male, Maldives. Luckily my wife started looking in her purse and had found a receipt of a previous charge on her with the old credit card account number, otherwise we would have been stuck indefinitely or had to purchase new tickets. Qatar Air Sucks also charges you for any luggage checked in which is in over 20 kilos and the fees are hefty. On my flight from Doha to Male they want 66 Riyals or about $15 US dollars for each kilo. It would have cost me more to check my luggage in then to buy the tickets and the airport has no storage facilities, so we had to turn around and go back to our hotel in Doha and leave some luggage behind. Its a nightmare airline, stay away from them. Who gave them the 5 star rating, they did themselves. I fly all over the world and have flown countless airlines and I never had as much trouble as I did on a few flights I had taken this year and last on Qatar Air Sucks. If you want to miss your flight, pay exorbitant fees for access luggage and deal with indifferent staff that does not speak English, fly Qatar Air Sucks. Also, the economy seats on the new 777-200LR are so tight, my knees we up my throat and if the person in front of you decides to recline their seat, forget it. then, to top it off, we arrive in Male Maldives and they lost our luggage in Doha, so here I am in Male Maldives in pants and shoes, while my t-shirts and shorts are missing somewhere. I can go on and on and on about Qatar Air Sucks. Save yourself the trouble, take another airline. They are no where near 5 star. They are a 1 star airline and struggling at that. If you want a nightmare experience, take Qatar Air Sucks. I unfortunately did not read about others complaining about them and the airport, which by the way has only 2 restaurants to eat in and is just not designed for the volume of traffic they are trying to pass through there. Never again will I take that airline. I would rather have 2 connecting flights on another airline then fly through Doha or on Qatar Air. Six flights with them and they were all a disaster. The only nice thing about the airline is the fact that they purchase new planes, but they are trying to expand their routing and that means even more people going through Doha to connect to other flights. And here is one to top it off. Our flight from Dubai to Doha on March 29th, 2009 at 12:30 AM and the flight was late taking of 1 hour and not due to weather but they could not confirm the number of people on the plane and keep walking around and counting people, the pilot decides to go through a thunderstorm and our plane got hit by lightning. I with my wife and 4 kids thought were doomed. We heard a very loud pop, the floor was shaking and the pilot never came on the PA to say anything. We did not know if a bomb went off or what happened. Passengers were alarmed and afraid and nobody told us anything. I have since learned since I landed that planes can and do get struck by lightning, but wouldn’t it have been nice if the pilot told us that. Then, I originally scheduled to stay in Male 4 nights and five days departing Male late in the evening so that I don’t have to stay in Doha 14 hours to catch my return flight home, but they changed the flight from Male from 9 PM to 9 AM, so now that not only takes 1 full day away from me in Male, I need to leave my resort at 6 AM to catch the 9 AM flight out of Male and spend a full day in Doha doing nothing. What a waste. Happy flying Qatar Air Sucks. Take it from a world traveler, stay away.
